I have been tagged by Lone of ddd-favoritter – I have to write 5 things about myself and then go on to tag 5 more bloggers.
Here is my list:
- As I child I hated baby dolls and refused to play with them.
- When my grandmother gave me a sewing caddy that she hand-painted herself for my 13th birthday, I was horrified. It wasn’t a toy! I use it every day now, as well as her sewing machine – I think that she knew something that I didn’t.
- My Mom and I always compete for the same items at antique stores.
- I am trying to teach myself to speak Polish – it’s slow going, but I am determined.
- The head of my household is a small orange female cat named Slayer whose authority none of us dare to challenge (unless we feel like taking a sound beating).
Now I am tagging the following people…
- Tonya of Olde Country Creations
- Debra of Pilgrims and Pioneers
- Lana of Honeysuckle Lane
- Doreen of Vermont Harvest Primitives
- ? If you are reading, feel free to fill yourself in here!
You’re welcome, I enjoy reading your blog.
Thanks for the tag Olde World Primitives!
Hi stephanie..thanks for visiting my blog and for the tag. I loved #2 regarding your Grandmother…isn’t it funny how we change our feelings about things over time.
Blessings,
Doreen
You’re welcome, and thanks for stopping by here also!
And it is funny how our feelings about things can change – I hope that my grandmother (who was a seamstress, quiller, and toll painter) sees me now. I’m sure that she does.
Hiya Stephanie-
Thanks for the nice comment on my blog.
What a treasure your grandma’s sewing caddy must be to you now!
I didn’t like baby dolls as a kid either, but I made paper dolls, and I had an Obi Wan Knobi action figure (does that count?)
Hugs- Jo
Jo – You’re welcome! Your dolls are among the most treasured in my collection. I just love them all.
I will post pictures of it at some point, it is very pretty.
And yes, the sewing caddy is a treasure to me now.
Obi Wan definitely counts! My favorite dolls were The Bionic Woman and Wonder Woman. I used to sleep with my Bionic Woman doll in my bed at night, and her right foot kept coming off. I think my Mom wound up getting me 3 new ones.
