Chenille Christmas Cat and Dog Ornaments

I added two new sets of chenille ornaments to the Old World Primitives Etsy Shop today, especially for cat and dog lovers (like myself!).

They can be used as feather tree ornaments for Christmas or everyday, and would also make nice handmade wedding favors.

While starting to create for Christmas, I am still enjoying counting down to Halloween!  Last weekend I went to a spooktacular Halloween costume party that featured some truly out of this world decorations and interactive displays.  Below are some of the photos that I took during the evening, including pictures of the *least* scary decorations. In one room, the walls reached out and grabbed me… twice!

Hi Stephanie, that sounds like one scary place if the walls are reaching out for you. Love the decorations. They have really gone to a lot of trouble to make people feel “welcome”…haha. The chenille ornaments are great. You do those so well. Anyway tonight is Halloween so have a great one. We are expecting the little trick or treaters round anytime.

    Hi Cathy,
The grabbing walls were a good scare… it was in a room with polka dot walls lit by blacklight - which made me not notice the two people dressed in outfits that blended right into the walls, who each reached out and grabbed me by surprise at different moments. We missed the trick-or-treaters this year to spend the day and evening in beautiful Lancaster County, PA.

Thanks, D. :) And I didn’t even post the scariest photos! (Like for instance the live “Operation” guy… neat idea, but made my stomach a little queasy!)
