One of the lovely ladies from the OFG Team on Etsy (Michelle of Wood and Fabric) just pointed out to me that my set of 6 vintage style chenille Santa ornaments - which are also my WSOAPP Door Prize this month - have been included in an Etsy Holiday Ornament contest! The Storque article about the contest says, “You have until noon on Friday, November 21st, 2008 to cast your vote. You must be logged into Etsy to be able to vote. Your vote remains anonymous. 60 items were chosen by admin for your consideration.” My Santa ornaments that are featured in the contest are pictured below, if you would like to go take a peek and vote for me.

I would like to stay a visit a bit longer, but the holiday rush of orders and the sewing machine are calling me. I will have another new doll to share very soon. I am also delighted to have been accepted as a vendor on a new juried handmade marketplace site called 1000 Markets. My shop is here, and now I am off to get back to work on creating more goodies to fill it with.

I am back with another new doll to share! Cold and flu season visited my home early and with a vengeance this year but I am finally back in the swing of things again this week. This primitive snowman will be my offering tomorrow for the WSOAPP Holiday Open House launch. He will be available in the Old World Primitives WSOAPP Shoppe along with a holiday themed prize I will be offering to those who stop by and sign up.

This doll has been SOLD, thank you!

WSOAPP will be hosting a Holiday Open House from November 7th - December 10th. Be sure to stop by and enter our giveaway for a $50 gift certificate that will be redeemable in any WSOAPP Market Street Shoppe!
As you click through individual shops in the marketplace during that time, you will also be able to sign up for chances to win additional prizes. This should be a fun way to begin getting into the holiday gift giving spirit!

SOLD, thank you!
Today is the 7th of the month, which means that the WSOAPP Market Street Shoppes have all been updated with new goodies. The primitive sheep pictured above is available in my Old World Primitives WSOAPP shoppe now. In celebration of WSOAPP’s first anniversary on October 2nd, many Market Street Shoppe listings this month will include something made of paper. My sheep wears a stained, cinnamon-dusted paper label.

WSOAPP turned one year old yesterday - Happy Anniversary, WSOAPP! For our anniversary launch I listed a new set of 6 Christmas ornaments in the Old World Primitives Etsy shop. The ornaments are made of Victorian paper scrap, felt, cotton batting, and chenille. They are also available via the Old World Primitives homepage shop.

I am off to go get a new Santa doll ready for the next WSOAPP shoppe update on October 7th.

Now that I am back from climbing mountains, I would like to announce that the WSOAPP Market Street Shoppes are now officially open for business! You can either click on each member’s avatar or click on our business name links in the right hand sidebar to visit our shoppes. My new witch make-do is now available for sale in my Old World Primitives WSOAPP shoppe.
WSOAPP also has our first advertisement on page 89 of the Early American Life Christmas issue, which just hit newsstands and subscriber mailboxes this week. Early American Life has been one of my very favorite magazines for awhile now, so I am so excited to have our group’s ad featured on one of its pages.

I am so excited that I was chosen as one of the SIX lucky winners in the Soft in the Head blog giveaway! It was so sweet of Pam to add an additional three prizes to the three that she was already giving away. Here is Pam’s photo of my prize.

Thank you, Pam!!
Also, just a reminder that the Grand Opening of the WSOAPP Market Street Shoppes will be taking place on September 7th, just 4 days from now. Be sure to check out what we have to offer this coming Sunday! Old World Primitives will be closed starting tomorrow while I take a week long holiday, but I will be back on September 12th to resume responding to inquiries and shipping orders. Have a great week, and good luck to all of my fellow WSOAPP members next week!

Tracy of Farm Girl Dreamer was nice enough to present this award to me the other day:

Thank you so much, Tracy! It was a really nice surprise to receive this award from you. Now I need to pass the award onto 7 other blogs - it is extremely difficult for me to pick just 7 since I have such a long list of favorites, so here are 7 of my favorites at random:

I will have more new creations to share again soon too! This month I have been busy working on custom orders, goodies for the WSOAPP Halloween swap (my package went out on Friday, I hope my swap partner enjoys it!), and new dolls for the September 7th launch of my WSOAPP shoppe. I just finished a primitive witch for my shoppe and hope to be able to finish at least one other new doll in time for our grand opening. Unfortunately I have vacation plans overlapping our launch date, but I will get everything set up before I leave, and respond to any orders/inquiries when I return home on September 11th.
